SIDF - "Happy Ending"

We completed the SIDF project on 18 Aug with "demaged and lost baggages". In SIDF, we presented 5 dance items in 5 nights at Sibu, Sarawak.

Trip to Sibu (Sarawak) for the International Dance Festival

Finally we are departing for the event tomorrow to work with overseas dance professionals. Almost half of our strength are performing in Sibu International Dance Festival and attending the conference and workshop from 13 to 17 August.

ChinGay 2013 - Peach Blossom

At Chingay 2013, we were scheduled for the stage performance by Peoples' Association to present Peach Blossom in "Fire in Snow". 12 members were having fun in the event besides working hard in the practices.

Coconut Laguage @ Dance in Unity

Every althernate year, Chinese Dance Artistes’ Association works with local Chinese dance troupes to organise a combined performance, "Dance in Unity". In September this year, we have presented one item, Coconut Language (Coconute Forrest). Very different this time,  14 members activiely supported the event.


 

Dance Image 2012

We had started and planned for the concert since August 2011. Finally we completed the production on 31 Mar with 2 shows that involved 35 performers including works from 8 young choreographers.

Coming Soon

We are preparing a dance concert, Dance Image 2012. This is our second public performance that we have organised since 2008. The objectives of the performance are to (1) rekindle the lost and forgotten memories of Singapore history, (2) promote Chinese ethnic dance and (3) nurture young talents by giving them a platform to present their choreographic works. We will present 8 items that are jointly produced by our Artistic Director, Mdm Gan Beng Lee, senior troupe members and our young talents. There will be 40 members taking part in this performance. The highlight of the show is the dance drama ‘The Happy World’, one of the three amusement parks built in Singapore. The drama comprises five parts about the park rekindling the lost and forgotten memories of Singapore history.

Charity Cultural Shows for Ren Ci Hospital 2011

We have represented Chin Kang Huay Kuan in this meaningful performance on 8-9 Dec at Kreta Ayer People's Theate. The two-night charity was honoured by Mr Chan Chun Sing, Acting Ministry for Community Development, Youth and Sports and Minister of State for Ministry of Information, Communications and Arts at the Opening. The event was organised by Chin Kang Huay Kuan with ChongFu Alumni in collaboration with Ren Ci Hospital.

Dancing in Unity 2010

Bi-annual event, Dancing in Unity 2010 presented the White Snake Legend. We were dancing in the part where the lady snake and Mr Xu Xian were visiting the West Lake.

Our New Rhythm 2

Once again we presented our 2nd New Rhythm at National Central Library on 24 Jul 2010. Our members made good effort to share their 5 pieces of new work. It was very encouraging.
