We are preparing a dance concert, Dance Image 2012. This is our second public performance that we have organised since 2008. The objectives of the performance are to (1) rekindle the lost and forgotten memories of Singapore history, (2) promote Chinese ethnic dance and (3) nurture young talents by giving them a platform to present their choreographic works. We will present 8 items that are jointly produced by our Artistic Director, Mdm Gan Beng Lee, senior troupe members and our young talents. There will be 40 members taking part in this performance. The highlight of the show is the dance drama ‘The Happy World’, one of the three amusement parks built in Singapore. The drama comprises five parts about the park rekindling the lost and forgotten memories of Singapore history. Date: 31 March 2012 (Saturtday)
